About B.A.D.

B.A.D. Teacher, M.Ed. spent sixteen years in the K–12 classroom before turning that experience into a body of work examining the profession from the inside. What began as a way for educators to name the frustrations and realities of the job grew into a larger inquiry: what happens when educators enter systems that don't match what they were prepared for. Across three books spanning teacher preparation, workplace culture, and institutional accountability, they write in a documentary register drawn from lived experience and a background in journalism. The through-line is the gap between what training promises and what institutions deliver, and what it costs the people caught in between.
